Voltcom Limited is whole-heartedly committed to fulfilling our corporate responsibilities
and we have numerous policies and procedures in place to ensure the protection of our
staff, the public, the local community and the environment.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
It is a company priority to ensure the safety of its employees, the public, our customers and anyone who interacts with Voltcom Group and its locations. It is ultimately important to carry out all our work in a way which provides safe and healthy working conditions and avoid risks of injury to anyone as a result of activities for which the Company is responsible.
Voltcom are determined to reduce all aspects of risks throughout its businesses, be it from innovative systems to ensure compliance by its employees to working with our clients on long term solutions.
ZERO is the target
Voltcom Limited is committed to minimising the environmental impact of its operation through the adoption of sustainable practices, and continuous improvement in environmental performance.
ENVIRONMENTAL We fully accept the need to protect the environment for the benet of society
and make environmental considerations an integral part of its business activities.
We are committed to maintaining any impact on the environment to as low a
level as reasonably practicable whilst meeting our clients and customer needs.
Voltcom recognises that good environmental management is achieved through
knowledgeable and appropriately trained sta, anticipating and eliminating
potential environmental problems through good work planning and practice.
Our Group of Companies maintains compliance with the relevant applicable
environmental legislation through a variety of regions, communicating with all
sta of varying cultures and diversity.
Our targets are realistic and by improving our understanding and knowledge,
Voltcom Group is continually improving our environmental performance by
bringing 'the environment' into initial decisions and at forefront planning stages.

|
Voltcom has made the commitment throughout its business, to clear, long-term outcome-orientated targets that are strategised by a number of international communities.
BIODIVERSITY 2010 is the UNESCO based International Year of Biodiversity, aligning protocol with mechanisms and programmes to assist in building a biodiversity future.
Failure to conserve and use biological diversity on a global scale in a sustainable manner will result in degrading environments, new and more rampant illnesses, deepening poverty and a continued pattern of inequitable and untenable growth.
Biodiversity is crucial, as demographic pressures and consumption levels increase, biodiversity decreases, and the ability of the natural world to continue delivering the goods and services on which humanity ultimately depends may be undermined.
Voltcom consider biodiversity to be a responsibility for all, from the local community, working along the chain to primary inuential focuses by governments and all national/regional organisations.
| |
Voltcom Limited is committed to acting in a social and environmentally responsible manner, which is more than just an ethical duty for any company; it directly aects the bottom-line.
SUSTAINABILITY
Voltcom use sustainable management as an opportunity to encourage innovation, increase investment and open up new markets. With rising energy and waste costs, tougher environmental legislation and higher stakeholder expectations, organisations are increasingly focusing their attention on improving production practices, to both enhance performance and demonstrate responsible behaviour.
Improved resource productivity has the potential to drive down costs by reducing raw material use, waste and pollution. The penalties for failing to manage environmental risks properly can also be substantial, whether in terms of lost reputation, loss of the licence to operate, build or market, or straight nancial penalties.
While there will continue to be a very important role for regulation and enforcement, regulation alone will not be able to deliver the changes everyone needs to see. We need to make sure that we are using the levers available in a consistent way throughout our client, sub-contractors, employees, the public sector and the community.
Our strategy therefore focuses on the need to enable, encourage and engage people and communities in the move toward
sustainability.
"Working daily to be environmentally responsible".
VOLTCOM pride ourselves in being a company who operate across the spectrum from 132kV to 400kV, providing safe and environmentally aware service to all our clients. Our focus is fully aligned with our clients concerns in the areas of safety, efficiency, cost reduction, innovation and sustainability. All our employees are aware of their responsibility to deliver successful projects, by reducing lifecycle costs and protecting the environment in order to deliver lasting value to our clients.
